a special gift from Palm beach teachers to their partners in Tzahar

An extraordinary gift from the Palm Beach educators was delivered to Tzahar Partnership by Beth Fleet, on behalf of Lynne Lieberman on Tuesday, June 2nd at the end of the year event. Lynne, Assistant Executive Director at the Friedman Commission for Jewish Education, manages the coordination of the The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's Partnership 2000 Gesher Hinuch. The gift, a quilt wall-hanging hand-crafted by fiber artist and Gesher Hinuch volunteer, June Black, honors the exchange's activities and Rachel Ben Menachem's dedication to the exchange over the past nine years. The Palm Beach teachers provided photos and pictures of the many programs and projects of the partners. Here, in Tzahar partnership, one can see the faces looking on with so much joy. A huge thanks to June, Beth, Lynne, and all in Palm Beach.

Bella Eshed class Meyer Academy- The Israeli army

A letter from the Palsar Unit in the Israeli army to Meyer Academy students:

To the wonderful students of Meyer Academy.

We, the commanders and soldiers of the Palsar Unit would like to thank you all for the great donation to our unit. We appreciate this approach and know that in these days it is not obvious. During this month we will have a military reserve and we will have an event that we will use your donation. Hope to save these warm relations between the Palsar Unit and Meyer Academy in the future. Thanks!!!

Temple Beth Am- Gan choni Hameagel

Dina's class in Gan Choni hameagel got from their partner class, Shining stars in Temple beth Am, a wall carpet. Each peace with a different symbol, was made by a different student.

Shining stars in Temple beth Am- Gan Sigalit

Gan Sigalit, Mirale class, hanged the wall carpets they got from Shining stars classes in Temple beth Am. The children researched the symbols in the wall carpets, connected to Israel and Atzmaut.

Temple Beth David- Amit Hatzor

Just before Yom Hazikaron a special exchange event took place in Rosh Pina: Rose, the director of Education inTemple Beth David, who came to the region, brought a wall carpet, made by 7th grade students and their teacher Ann. Rose met in my house Miriam, the teacher of the partner calss in Amit Hatzor and her assistant Sagit. Rose exchanged the wall carpet with Amit wall carpet, both with peace symbols, students names and other elements each side has chosen to include. As one can see, both partners invested energy, enthusiasm and hard work just to complete it in time, make it a peace of art and experience a fruitful meeting.

Shining stars preschool in Temple beth Am

The teacher in Temple Beth Am- Shining stars class , wrote: "We sent the Wall carpet for Yom haatzmaut, Hope you get it soon. Here is some picture we took of the children making it They had a lot of fun. "

Temple Beth Am- Ort Hatzor elementary

Dafna`s class in Ort Hatzor sent to the partner class in Temple Beth Am wall carpet built of pieces: Arts work- the flag, for the Israeli independance day.

Choni Hameagel- Temple Judea

Maya`s class in Choni Hameagel school sent to the partner class in Temple Judea Yom Haatzmaut work, based on the Israeli song: Eretz Israel Sheli Yafa Vegam Porachat- My Israel is beautiful and blossoms.

Amit Hatzor- Temple Beth David

Miriam`s class in Amit Hatzor highschool
created the peace wall carpet.
It will be exchanged through their partner class
director who will come to the region and bring Temple Beth David`s class product.

Ort Hatzor- Temple Judea

Orly`s class in Choni Hameagel school
sent to their partner class in Temple Judea
Yom Haatzmaut work. The theme- Israel symbols
and what meaning does it have for everyone.

Gan Ofek- Temple Shaarei Shalom

Meirav`s class created for Yom Haatzmaut a wall carpet made of students work. It will be sent to Lisa and her class in Solomon Schecter School. They emphasize Eretz Israel, especially nature and flowers. Here one can see the children starting to create their pages.

Gan Erez- Temple Torah

Hana`s class created art work for Yom Haatzmaut. The theme is -peace.

Gan Choni Hameagel- Temple Beth Am

Dina`s class prepares a wall carpet for Yom haatzmaut. It is built from pages, sticked together, ful of Israel symbols and handwriting. It will be sent to Shining stars class in temple Beit Am.

Mira`s class prepares Yom Haatzmaut project: a wall carpet made of pieces students are designing- sites in Hatzor Haglilit. It will be sent to Shining stars class in Temple beit Am.

Temple beit David- Gan Narkis and gan Savyon

Dikla, Gan Narkis teacher and Hana, gan Savyon teachers sent to their partners in Temple beit David, Anat Kindergarden teacher and Debbie, first grade teacher, arts for Tu bisvat made by the children.

Dikla`s class got from Anat`s class Tu Bishvat work as well.

Hana from Gan Savyon hang Tu Bishvat work which was sent from Debbie`s class in Temple Beit David.

Temple Torah preschool- Gan Erez Tzefat

Hanna, Gan Erez teacher sent to the partner class in Torah Tot in Temple Beit Torah a Tu Bishvat art work. It includes crowns for the trees. They exchange crowns, means every class will put the partner class crowns on the local trees.
